Three of them. One shipping, one being built, one still an idea — and the page says which is which.
A complete, turn-key remote HF station: radio, power, antenna, satellite link and control engineered as one package, delivered on air and owned outright. Two are running — IKARA in Australia and ALAMO in Texas — and the core is heading for open source so you can build your own instead.
Open the project →A proper illuminated ON AIR sign — one here, one at Ed’s place in Texas. Whoever keys the radio, both signs light up. It answers “can I use it right now?” from across the room without opening a laptop, and it tells the household the radio is in use.
Open the project →Press a button on your property and your neighbours’ houses light up and make a noise. Deliberately not a phone app: a phone is on silent, in another room, flat, or you are asleep — which is exactly when it matters. A dedicated box in each house that does one job and cannot be missed.
Open the project →Everything here is built for a real reason, usually because I wanted the thing and could not buy it. The ones that work get written up properly — the build, the failures and the telemetry — and the ones that are still just an idea say so plainly on the page rather than pretending otherwise.
If one of them is useful to you, or you want to help build it, say hello.
