The station's only path to the world is a satellite dish, so the quality of that path is a first-class station instrument, not an IT detail. This module measures the link as experienced — reachability, latency, throughput, and the gaps — rather than trusting the dish's own opinion of itself.
When a remote operator says “it dropped out”, this is the module that says whether the radio, the tunnel, or the sky was at fault.
