The FlexRadio Maestro is a physical console — knobs, a screen, a proper VFO — that connects over the network and operates the 6700 as though you were sitting in front of it. It is the answer to the obvious objection that a remote station means operating from a laptop.
It matters to the register because the Maestro is a client like any other: RS1.FLEX.MONITOR sees it by name, RS1.FLEX.LOG attributes transmissions to it, and the station can tell you whether the radio is being driven from the console, from a computer, or from the other side of the world.
